Sarrancolin Opéra Fantastico

This marble is extracted from the Ilhet Quarry, located in Sarrancolin in the Pyrenees.

Sarrancolin marble stands as a testament to both the grandeur and the ambition of humankind. Louis XIV, the Sun King, chose it to adorn France’s most magnificent landmarks: the Palace of Versailles and many of the Loire Valley castles. In Paris, the Louvre Museum and numerous private mansions are also graced with Sarrancolin marble.

Among other prestigious sites:

  • The Grand Trianon

  • The Château de Fontainebleau

  • The Monte Carlo Casino

  • L'Opéra Garnier

  • The tombs of Vauban and Turenne at Les Invalides
